Materials from Current Scholarship Recipients Seeking to Renew, Due March 1
Current scholarship recipients are reminded that the following materials necessary for requesting a renewal of their award are due March 2: (1) a one-page statement of progress in school; (2) a completed financial statement; (3) a certified transcript with grades through Fall 2009 semester; and (4) a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or teaching assistant. Please refer to your 2009-2010 award packet for complete instructions on the renewal process and a copy of the financial statement.


Applications for 2010-2011 Scholarships Due March 15
All graduating seniors in the public high schools of Charlottesville and Albemarle County meeting the criteria set out in the ‘Scholarship Program’ section of this website are encouraged to apply for a scholarship for their college education. Please see the guidance department or scholarship coordinator at your school for an application. A completed application must be submitted to your school, which will review and forward it to the Minor Preston Fund by the March 15 deadline.
